The fully accessible rooms come equipped with roll in showers, roll under sinks and room around the toilet for transferring in and out of a wheelchair. There needs to be at least a 32 inch wheelchair path and turning space throughout the room. Due to this, these rooms tend to have one King bed. Depending on how the room is arranged and whether they still have available floor space for maneuvering, some rooms at a few resorts have been re-configured with 2 double beds. Animal Kingdom and Pop Century are reported to be resorts that have been modified. We are also hearing that Wilderness Lodge may have rooms with roll in showers and 2 beds.

There are also handicapped rooms that are not fully wheelchair accessible. These rooms have regular tubs with showers with grab bars and grab bars by the toilet.

STILL BUILDING THIS SECTION - NEED YOUR HELP!

Disney boasts that every level of resort has wheelchair accessible rooms. But is this true? Send us what you have found, along with any resort tips, tricks or photo's you would like to share and we will post it to let others know!
