Port
Orleans French Quarter by JRB
Port Orleans French Quarter is a nice small hotel, so saves on the arms.
There is only one swimming pool (no quiet pools) and the access to that
is via bump steps.
The main building has power operated external doors, and all the
residential buildings have lifts. The food court counters are easily
reachable, the Cast Members very friendly and helpful (but where in Disney
aren't they?) and the seating area is easily navigable, even at busy
times. I seem to remember the Guest Services and Check in Desks are a bit
high, but doable. There is an accessible boat (roll on over a metal ramp,
no mechanisms that can go wrong) that goes to Riverside and Downtown
Disney, but when you come back, you have to exit through the entrance (the
normal exit is up steps) so you've normally got to fight your way through
the queue of people waiting for the boat. FQ only has one bus stop, but as
the resort is so small, any more would be over-kill.'
Port Orleans
Riverside by JRB
Port Orleans Riverside I don't remember so well, but I think the food court
seating is
harder to navigate, as the tables are closer together. It's also a much
bigger resort, meaning more wear and tear on the arms, but there are a
number of bus stops around, so you don't need to wheel far to get back to
your room after a long day at the parks. The boat to DTD serves this hotel
too.
Caribbean Beach by
JRB
Caribbean Beach is also a very big resort, and the main building isn't as
centrally placed as the one at Riverside, so it's an awfully long way to
go if you're at the other end. Again, there are a number of bus stops
around the resort, but if you're going to the food court for breakfast,
you don't want to have to go through all the palaver of loading onto a bus
just to get there.
